Getting Connected
The Sunkite network runs on Reticulum. To participate, you need a Reticulum-capable device and a Lora Radio. I still dont know how to explain reticulum except it really cool. but the links below are hopefully usefull.
| Project | Description | Link |
|---|---|---|
| Reticulum | The core networking stack. Handles routing, encryption, and transport over any medium. | reticulum.network reticulum.community |
| Sideband | Mobile and desktop messaging app built on Reticulum. Supports LoRa, TCP, and other interfaces. | github.com/markqvist/Sideband |
| NomadNet | Text-based network client and node software. Browse pages, send messages, host services. | github.com/markqvist/NomadNet |
| LXMF | Lightweight Extensible Message Format — the messaging layer used by Sideband and NomadNet. | github.com/markqvist/LXMF |
| RNode | Open-source LoRa transceiver firmware. Turns common LoRa boards into Reticulum-compatible interfaces. | github.com/markqvist/RNode_Firmware |
Getting Started
The quickest path to getting on the network:
- flash an Rnode
- install NomadNet, Sideband, or Mesh Chat
- ????
- stop communicating through centralized services
